I have Windows 7
Sony Vaio PC
Intel Core i7-2630Qm @ 2.00 GHz (which is different than recommended...)
64-bit Operating system.
Can you list your graphics card and ram please.
This looks like a laptop and your processor can be boosted to 2.9. If you have an Intergrated GPU it will not run the game properly.
8.00 GB RAM
I believe this is what is being asked for? Sorry, I'm honestly not all that familliar with knowing the details of my PC!
this is a known problem that only affects a few computers
Open Nvidia Control Panel
on the left side Go to "Manage 3D Settings"
Click on the tab that says "Program settings"
in the drop down box (number 1) find advanced warfare .exe and click icon
that shows sp (single)
(you will need to do the same again for mp (multi)
Now, at the bottom where it says "Select the preferred graphics processor" click on your dedicated video card either global settings (auto select Nvidia GPU or high performance nvidia processor)
scroll down and on bottom right click Apply.
Reboot Steam and you should be good to go.
I am not sure what to do- I'll try and contact Steam or COD or something. Thank you so much for your help and time. If you have any other ideas please let me know.
Steam>SteamApps>Call of Duty Advanced Warfare and click.
Scroll down and find s1_sp64_ship and click.
Now, at the bottom where it says "Select the preferred graphics processor" click on your dedicated video card either global settings (auto select Nvidia GPU or high performance nvidia processor)
scroll down and on bottom right click Apply.
Repeat for the s1_mp64_ship.
Restart steam
Windows 8.1 64 bit
Nvidia GTX 760
Inter core i7 3.5ghz
32gb RAM DDR3
1 TG hard drive space
1.Go to Sony's website and see if there are any graphic driver updates.
2.Go to the Nvidia website and go to the Download Driver section.
You can either use the widget to find the right one or do it yourself.
IF you do it yourself then in the drop down boxes make sure you select the notebook option.
anyway a 540 is quite a weak card so you might need to turn all the advanced graphics ingame to low as you can play for a short time.
also here are the last 15 drivers available from nvidia but its pointless updating to the latest as they are mainly for the new 9** gpu's http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us
So the low quality thing doesn't change the crashes and freezes. First thing I tried prior to posting here. I am in the process of trying to update a video card/fsomething along those lines. Whichever I can manage. Medical school in remote Iowa doesn't give me much time or internet usage.
