Do People still play this game in 2025?

The campaign is fantastic, but keep in mind that the game wasn’t developed natively for PC, it was made for consoles and then ported over. Because of that, it has a ton of issues on PC, like frequent crashes and video stuttering. No matter how good your specs are, the game just doesn’t cooperate. I even noticed it was unnecessarily overclocking my GPU and CPU, and I only caught it about halfway through the campaign. Honestly, play at your own risk. It’s still a great game despite its flaws, but be prepared for some headaches along the way.

Advanced Warfare is my favorite COD.. Multiplayer and the guns were super good. However, they rightfully got a lot of crap for their loot crates.. Still, it was a great game aside from that. I wish it lasted but apparently Sledgehammer has basically been shut down.. Which really sucks because they made COD feel different in a good way. Infinitywars and Treyarc used to feel different but now it seems like they're basically the same games.. Sledgehammer always made them feel different and introduced new things. I personally love the Exo combat. It's better in this game than in the other Exo COD games.. The wall running also wasn't broken either. It was great and super underrated. I wish theyd make AW2 but it won't even happen..

In some alternate reality, Sledgehammer moves to Respawn and they make Titan Fall 3
and actually now that I think about it, AW didn't have wall running.. There, just that fact alone makes AW superior to every EXO COD game just by that.. The wall running ruined those games big time.

only 5 people play multiplayer and they only play once every few weeks, campaign is very good

I wanted to buy this game too-
waiting for next sale.

I did notice Alterware supports this game ,
I tried Alterware when I last played Ghosts and I thought it made the game better and there was 2 servers populated.


Was also curious whether DLC is worth buying as well?

I was lucky enough to be able to play when there were still people (as you can see in my profile screenshots), but now nobody plays on Steam anymore. I don't recommend buying it if you only want to play MP.

No, Call of Duty games on PC tend to die after two years at most. You're pretty unlikely to be able to find any lobbies at all for this.

The console versions, maybe, but on PC no.
