Can I play offline vs bots?

I mean, I'm interested in this game, but I only wanna play vs bots so, can I start with a level 1 character and leveling playing with them?

Uh, no. You can't level up and earn rewards playing against bots in any Call of Duty. And you can only play offline on consoles. Steam doesn't let you do that, you have to be connected.

This is not correct. In BO you can do that. And of course you can open steam without internet, but what i wanted to mean is play only vs bots, you know, without other players.

Don't get confused, I was referring to level progression. You cannot level up offline on any CoD.

You can create private matches and play with bots. But you have to get past the Play Online screen to create private matches, and to do that you need an internet connection. AW doesn't let you play without an internet connection on Steam, that's something you can do only on consoles.

Anyway, going back to my question, can i create private matches and play vs bots in this game and level up with them? :S

No you didnt do it. I ask for the possibility to LEVEL UP vs bots (You said that this is not possible in any cod, and i said that i meant to play vs bots when i said 'offline', and also that i can do that in black ops, but idk if this same thing is possible here)

So to put it simply: You can play with bots as your teammates against other bots. Iirc it's private match, you can still invite people you want to play with. But everythin is unlocked from the start (iirc) (It's usually 6vs6 or 9vs9, depends on the CoD, but since BlackOps1 all CoDs except MW3 include bots for private/single player matches.

Be advised, you CANNOT play without having an internet connection. Even if you log in the game, once the internet connection is cuted off, in the same second you will be kicked into the menu without any possibility to play.

Only Singleplayer works offline.

BUT if you have an internet connection and just turn your Steam profile OFFLINE, everything will work, even the multiplayer.


Now back to your question. Nothing what you will do in a private match with bots will count. Which means that you will not earn any point of experience, any achievements or any medals.
Bots will have different levels and this will depend on their level of difficulty that you will set in the game options.
