It is just a unique follower, that is it.
Difference with random npc:
1. Hired via a meter giving food adds 10 to that meter with a max of 100 (iirc) forgot when you can actually ask them to follow you. They are more expensive, random npcs are dirt cheap.
1. has unique cutscene to each based on the meter (here are 4 unique gfs that I found)
2. They will never die. They will just regen health when fed and if she get to 1 health with 0 food they will just limp around and will not fight/attract zombies. So your items are safe because they are invincible.
3. When dismissed they can be found in their spawn location unlike other followers. Again your items are safe and thus you don't need to get you items out of them.
4. NOT TESTED BUT I READ THIS SOMEWHERE can use the defib - not sure if this involves the player or is it for other npcs. Or if it is even unique to the gfs.
