I'm with you minus the CAPS. 60% of Steam users are using a controller, its time to prioritize controller support at launch for all games

True I hope there is some controller support and also I hope the games price is only ten to 20 bucks

No they don't. About 15% use a controller. 60% percent of that 15% use an x-box controller

Definitely need controller support, would have been a first day purchase if there was.

While having controller support is nice, that statistic is off:

Valve mentioned a few months ago it was at 15% of daily sessions use controller(up from ~5% since 2018).

(from Steam News Event back on June 26th, 2024)

The other point being said is that not every game would have controller in mind, given with the design. Something like Yakuza? Yes, controller works amazing.

Something like DOTA or RTS? You're honestly better off with MB&K.

Same, +1. But without the implied shouting :lunar2019laughingpig:

Thanks to a disability, I have to use a trackball instead of a mouse, so controller would be greatly preferred is possible.

Yep. Native is always better, tho.

Steam Input is so good now (thanks to the Steam Deck) that its largely a non-issue these days. Infact, I would say Valve's achievement with Steam Input is probably one of the defining features of the platform.

I may give it a try again soon, see if it feels any better than it used to. I tried many times in the past, and it was fine for anything that was not action-oriented, but native always worked better when the devs implemented it, at least in my experience.
