My thoughts
Ok, so just to first get this out of the way, I AM recommending this game.

I am thankful to the developer for using Unity, as that always "just works" here, and thankful I was able to tune the sound levels precisely.

The controls are tight, there are multiple forms/weapons, and this is a real run and gun.

Music is good so far (way too soft, effects too loud by default, music is 30 and effects 50 I think, I put music 70 and effects at 40 and it's a perfect balance, just a heads up cause if you leave the default and pump the volume to hear the music, you'll blow your eardrum as soon as the shooting starts).

What I do NOT like:

Not being able to choose resolution or windowed mode and windowed mode resolution is a bit outrageous. Sorry but it really is. This is just something that should be standard across every game, and I have even been planning a petition for Steam to have a sort of quality control like the app store, where games need to meet certain criteria, with resolution selection being mandatory. I really feel that way. If it was not a 2D game, this would be a major issue on a 4k panel, but in this case, I am overlooking it only because of that reason.

No video options is always a BAD thing. The only option I see is for V sync.

Secondly - the reason I think it's overpriced is because there are certain elements where the attention to detail is beyond basic and it's actually a bit off putting. For example, the player does not even turn to climb the actual ladders (not talking about the transport elevators but the physical ladders), and just floats up on his side. It looks ridiculous. This is SEEP style budget game territory, and makes it feel like a 10 dollar game in many places. ( I mean 10 AUD, so, 5.99 USD).

Finally, 60 FPS cap is not necessary in this day and age, and the latency would be much lower and the controls even toighter if the game was allowed to run at high refresh rate display native HZ. In fact, it was THIS that made me think twice about keeping it, because I know it would be a much better game locked at 120 FPS on my 144hz 4k panel, in fact, the input lag would be HALVED. This matters. For people with 240hz+ displays it would be even better.

I am keeping it to support you, cause it's a lot of fun and it is stable, however I would hope you would respect the sincere criticism and not take it as an attack on you in any way. I really think 27 AUD on *sale* is too much for an arcade platformer in this current iteration, and I know you are going to end up putting it on deep sale and I will kick myself, so I ask you wait a while before you do that, LOL.

With that out of the way, this is a really FUN game. Again, thanks for using Unity and thanks for allowing us to reconfigure the controls and THANK YOU for offering proper gamepad with d-pad support. To be honest, I did not need to change a thing from the standard layout. I *may* put dash on B and move the special weapon to trigger (i.e. swap those two), but will see how I go. It's pretty good as it is.

Excellent action game that needs some more options and some polish.

Hi

Thank you for the feedback.

We will discuss your opinion and consider how to adopt it in the game.

Thank you.
