Hi, I was thinking of picking up one of the Supreme Ruler games the next time a sale comes up but I wasn't sure if I should choose this version or ultimate as people state that the latter is the best one, but the former has better performance.

Nothing has changed regarding the use of mods. It remains the same difficulty to use them, and forget about using them in savegames, you lose all your saves if you find a mod that you really want to use. In all the rest it looks like the 2020 with better, sharper graphics, but that was never the strong point. The AI ​​isn't any better in comparison either.
