My friend used to be mocked when commenting on business trips in Chinese. Who should be mocked for the imbalanced game.
Thanks.
Regarding China I would recommend researching better units and tech that will improve firepower and defense of units.
In real life much of China is still in poverty. They have a lot of military equipment but it isn't the best. China is considered a "developing nation". Currently a teenager in the US who works part time at a fast food restaurant has more take home pay than the average Chinese family. The average yearly take home pay for a household in China, as of 2022, is a little over $5,000.
For decades Mexico's GDP was higher than China's. In 2019 that changed, but not by much. Today China's GDP is a little better than Mexico's. What can I say except communism sucks. Taxes are extremely high because of the "free" education and healthcare. If anyone invents anything in a communist society the government owns it. The person who invented it gets nothing. If they're lucky they won't be seen as a threat and killed by their government. That pretty much stops any incentive for citizens of China to get involved in making things better with ideas and technological advancement. China copys and steals a lot of stuff.
China's representation in the game is accurate.
South Korea on the other hand is a technological power house by comparison in real life and in the game. The way the USA provides internet is decades behind South Korea. In South Korea their internet infrastructure makes it possible for them to provide speeds almost 80 times faster than in the USA and for $20 per month to a subscriber.
That hasn't occurred in the USA because big corporations, like Comcast and AT&T, see improving that infrastructure as a threat to the way they've done business. They like having us use relatively low internet speeds and paying them between $50-$100 a month.
Capitalism is good as long as corporations stay out of legislation and the people don't become stupid. When corporations throw big money behind approving or disapproving legislation they do it to solely benefit their bottom line and that behavior results in technological advancement being stunted in favor of keeping the stats quo. And it's easy to go on YouTube and see videos posted of stupid American adults who can't answer simple questions. Generation Z in America lives in luxury but if there was an EMP they wouldn't know how to rebuild the current tech level they enjoy. They don't know how it works or the engineering behind it; they know only how to use it.
America is still operating gas powered vehicles because it makes oil companies rich. And oil companies "donate" money to Congress and Senate representatives. America has the technology to come up with a better form of transportation that doesn't rely on oil. Flying cars were developed in the 1980's but they were seen as a threat to the car corporations so they quietly went away. Boeing built their own flying car in the 1980's as well but then did nothing with it.
Solar power has been so effective in California that the corporations that charge for using power were in danger of going out of business. So they got involved with legislation that allows them to charge people who don't use energy anyway. For example after my parents installed solar panels on their house for months they got checks in the mail from PG&E. They went from paying $600 a month to getting money every month from PG&E. The law at the time made that possible. Now legislation is in place where you must pay money to PG&E no matter what. And in the next year or two that's going to get more expensive. PG&E, and other power companies in California, are killing the incentive for anyone to use green energy.
