Battlefield Strategy- Tips for Beginners and Long Time Players
Every unit does different damage values to tanks, infantry, air units, and sea units. Some units may do damage to all unit types. Some only do damage to specific unit types. Pay attention to the Technical Readout of a unit.

Garrisons are extremely weak in this game compared to SRU. Militia units can take out a city garrison now. Garrisoning your cities eats up your reserve personal more than in SRU.

Anti air units and air units do more damage to air units than anything else. Your anti air unit can also target other ground units but it won't do a lot of damage.

There are two types of attacks an anti air unit can do against air units; attacking Low Flying air units, like helicopters and fighter jets coming in for a strike, and High Flying air units like strategic bombers and air units that don't come in for a strike but launch missiles.

Some anti air units are capable of dealing damage at both altitudes while others are not. The Technical Readout of a unit is your friend.

Tanks do more damage to everything on the ground BUT are best used in opening terrain.
Every unit has a close combat armor value and close combat attack value which is different from the normal attack and armor value. You'll notice a tank's close combat attack value is less than its normal attack and so is its close combat armor value. Infantry on the other hand get a bonus in their close combat attack values. DO NOT send your expensive tanks to take a city or have them engage infantry in mountainous terrain.

Flanking attacks, attacking a unit or group of units from different sides at the same time, will kill the enemy much faster. It is very important when attacking military bases and cities, with lots of enemy units in them, to attack from multiple sides if you want to take them quickly.

Weather is a factor in this game. From the manual of SRU:
"With the weather system active, areas of the world may become muddy or snow
covered as weather systems cross the map. Ground will freeze, thaw and dry
according to the weather as rain or snow obscure the sunny skies . Weather will
have a variety of effects on units including spotting penalties, reduced movement
speeds, increased reload times, and morale effects from exposure. Experienced
leaders will pay close attention to the weather when making battle plans."

If I'm not mistaken weather works the same in SR2030.

There are supply lines. If you have an APC, or a fast scout unit, circling behind an advancing tank column invading your territory it will cut their supply lines. If they don't reconnect the supply lines the invaders will run out of ammo and fuel and then it is a turkey shoot. This way a much smaller army can soundly defeat a larger invading army.

If you're playing as Mexico and the USA decides to invade don't freak out. Yes, the AI of the USA will have a lot of infantry vehicles and tanks heading your way which you can't hope to match in numbers. It will be like the Empire of the Ants coming to devour you. Yes its units will be higher tech than yours. Yes if you engage them you will die. However, if you cut their supply lines and then engage them they will die.

Fight dirty. Have some units engage the enemy and run away trying to draw a group of enemy units after you. Have some units in waiting ready to cut off the pursuers. This requires planning.

If you micro manage your battles like me you have noticed the AI is always trying to flank you and cut off your supply lines. If you're not paying attention a weaker AI force could totally kill your military.

Artillery units are your friends and can help to beat back enemy invasions. They also are great for taking cities. Use artillery for defense and invasions by having your infantry/tanks engage the enemy while you're artillery pounds the same enemy units. Artillery units are like candy to air units. The AI will, IF it has them, position anti air along side its artillery units.

You can bring supply trucks with your invading units which certainly do help. But the AI seems to prioritizes them as targets.

The AI uses supply vehicles also, especially in defense. The AI will position supply vehicles right next to cities you're attacking. Attacking cities from multiple angles will destroy their supply vehicles which are rapidly feeding ammo to its defenders.

No matter how powerful your units are once they are cut off from supply a cave man will always win against your units, always.

I've read comments of people complaining about their high tech units get RIP by lowly infantry and saying the game is dumb and broken. This isn't a Command and Conquer game. Those who have a lot of expensive toys will not necessarily win. It matters how you use your toys.

I can't give you maps. Generally, you won't attack with tanks alone in the game, but with Infantry fighting vehicle. For example, the attack speed of the Infantry fighting vehicle in South Korea is 7 and 6, and the infantry is basically 10. The Infantry fighting vehicle in China is basically 2 of the lowest 4. The light infantry with the highest speed of 6 is easy to die, and the infantry with the highest speed of 8 is mostly 4. You can enter the game and select South Korea to take a look at the M-2A KAMI data. It shows that during the war, South Korea can obtain the best equipment with an attack speed of 7, while China can only obtain the best equipment with an attack speed of 4.

How many units does China need to defeat a South Korean unit with a difference in attack speed of nearly twice and urban defense support? At the beginning, there were 1440 units in China and 606 units in South Korea. Isn't it normal for China to lose the war by taking a look at the numbers I listed above? Although most of the data is not calculated in this way, without careful consideration, just looking at the surface and simply thinking about it, you will know that there are problems inside, right?

My friend used to be mocked when commenting on business trips in Chinese. Who should be mocked for the imbalanced game.

Combined arms always, and depth in defence is best imo especially for starting out, to secure your borders etc but combined arms should mean combined arms not just one piece of tech over another, and units picked for their roles in developing situations infantry compliment tanks and tanks compliment infantry with that and an air force to re supply said units, and artillery from the back to soften up targets. This is in regards to conventional warfare.

Thanks.

Regarding China I would recommend researching better units and tech that will improve firepower and defense of units.

In real life much of China is still in poverty. They have a lot of military equipment but it isn't the best. China is considered a "developing nation". Currently a teenager in the US who works part time at a fast food restaurant has more take home pay than the average Chinese family. The average yearly take home pay for a household in China, as of 2022, is a little over $5,000.

For decades Mexico's GDP was higher than China's. In 2019 that changed, but not by much. Today China's GDP is a little better than Mexico's. What can I say except communism sucks. Taxes are extremely high because of the "free" education and healthcare. If anyone invents anything in a communist society the government owns it. The person who invented it gets nothing. If they're lucky they won't be seen as a threat and killed by their government. That pretty much stops any incentive for citizens of China to get involved in making things better with ideas and technological advancement. China copys and steals a lot of stuff.

China's representation in the game is accurate.

South Korea on the other hand is a technological power house by comparison in real life and in the game. The way the USA provides internet is decades behind South Korea. In South Korea their internet infrastructure makes it possible for them to provide speeds almost 80 times faster than in the USA and for $20 per month to a subscriber.

That hasn't occurred in the USA because big corporations, like Comcast and AT&T, see improving that infrastructure as a threat to the way they've done business. They like having us use relatively low internet speeds and paying them between $50-$100 a month.

Capitalism is good as long as corporations stay out of legislation and the people don't become stupid. When corporations throw big money behind approving or disapproving legislation they do it to solely benefit their bottom line and that behavior results in technological advancement being stunted in favor of keeping the stats quo. And it's easy to go on YouTube and see videos posted of stupid American adults who can't answer simple questions. Generation Z in America lives in luxury but if there was an EMP they wouldn't know how to rebuild the current tech level they enjoy. They don't know how it works or the engineering behind it; they know only how to use it.

America is still operating gas powered vehicles because it makes oil companies rich. And oil companies "donate" money to Congress and Senate representatives. America has the technology to come up with a better form of transportation that doesn't rely on oil. Flying cars were developed in the 1980's but they were seen as a threat to the car corporations so they quietly went away. Boeing built their own flying car in the 1980's as well but then did nothing with it.

Solar power has been so effective in California that the corporations that charge for using power were in danger of going out of business. So they got involved with legislation that allows them to charge people who don't use energy anyway. For example after my parents installed solar panels on their house for months they got checks in the mail from PG&E. They went from paying $600 a month to getting money every month from PG&E. The law at the time made that possible. Now legislation is in place where you must pay money to PG&E no matter what. And in the next year or two that's going to get more expensive. PG&E, and other power companies in California, are killing the incentive for anyone to use green energy.

According to the World Intellectual Property Index for 2022 issued by WIPO, of the 3.4 million patent applications worldwide in 2021, the China National Intellectual Property Administration of China accepted 1.59 million patent applications in 2021, which is similar to the sum of the 12 competent offices ranking second to thirteenth. Following closely behind China are the competent offices of the United States (591473), Japan (289200), South Korea (237998), and the European Patent Office (188778). The total number of applications accepted by these five competent bureaus accounts for 85.1% of the world's total.(If anyone invents anything in a communist society the government owns it. The person who invented it gets nothing. )Since communism takes away people's inventions, how come China still has so many patent applications?

Take a look at the Chinese poverty alleviation documentary "China on the move" filmed together by China and the UK. On February 25, 2021, China announced comprehensive poverty alleviation, with 98.99 million rural impoverished people completely lifted out of poverty, 832 poverty-stricken counties all removed their hats, and 128000 poverty-stricken villages all listed.
In 2017, the number of Chinese citizens traveling abroad exceeded 130 million. In 2018, the number of Chinese citizens traveling abroad was 149.72 million. In 2019, the total number of Chinese citizens traveling abroad was 300 million. In 2020, the number of Chinese citizens traveling abroad was 20.334 million. In 2021, the number of Chinese tourists traveling abroad was 25.62 million. In 2022, the number of Chinese tourists traveling abroad reached 117 million.

NASA's nominal budget from 1993 to 2020 is $462.4 billion. The total budget of China's aerospace industry from 1993 to 2020 is about 200billion yuan, including 35billion yuan for manned space. In nominal terms, China's space budget for the same period is 30billion US dollars. Less than 10% of NASA in the same period This is also more in line with the introduction of China's space industry by Xu Dazhe, director of the National Space Administration in 2016 (the budget is about 10% of that of the United States). Now that the International Space Station is retiring, only the Chinese space station is left in space. What about the US space station plan?

China has no aerospace, China has no high-speed rail, and South Korea has no high-speed rail. China can independently manufacture the Yun20 and C919 aircraft, but South Korea can not. China has Particle accelerator, and Nuclear fusion devices, but none of these South Koreans think that Science and technology in South Korea's technology is better than China's.
Take a look at your paragraph, and then take a look at the data I have listed. Is there anything wrong with it? How can Chinese people afford to travel 300 million people abroad when they are so poor? How can a communist society take away all personal inventions and those who invent them achieve nothing without defecting to the land of Western democracy and freedom? Every year, 300 million people have traveled. As long as they don't go back, how do Chinese people steal a lot of things when they look different from us? If not through people but through the internet, how did China's backwardness invade places guarded by the highest Western technological means?
Think carefully, use all your means to collect information, don't look at the monotonous things that are easy to obtain, and look for the information that you can't see. Capitalism is so good, why is society so bad, with addicts everywhere and gunshots everywhere? Where have they gone in communist society?

There is no perfect system in this world, no system is superior to another system, no system is inherently evil. Do not criticize the past from the present because you have not personally experienced that period, and you have not been born and grown under the communist system. The evil of the communist system is all information you receive from the outside world. Britain or Monarchy? Why doesn't America overthrow it and spread democracy and freedom? Saudi Arabia is still an ally of the United States and cannot change its authoritarian rule.

Why should China be punished by the United States for being so poor and backward? Shouldn't it be grateful to support him and approach the United States like the Soviet Union, abandoning communism?

Use your brain to think, don't just look at the information in front of you and draw conclusions.
