Which Sandbox? Game balance can easily be adjusted in future updates. We've already made 2 minor updates in the 5 days since release.

This was brought up in another thread by me and others, it's not because Ukraine is so OP, its simply the unit positioning of forces on the Russian side upon game start. Majority of units are too far from the frontline. The Russians simply have no units to hold the border and Ukraine ends up steam rolling it.

I think this is a very easy fix, if the Russians units start well distributed in the conquered territory and entrenched in trenches, that, I think, would eliminate this problem.

The 2023 scenario, Russia and Ukraine start off at war but no troops are on the Frontline, this creates chaos on both sides and Ukraine generally comes out overwhelmingly victorious, as an addition to my original comment, Ukrainian troops should also start on the front, but maybe less fortified.

Can you please confirm the exact sandbox/scenario/campaign you mean? World 2023 definitely has Russian and Ukrainian troops pre-deployed. I just checked it again.

Also as Chris mentioned, we have just late yesterday posted a content hotfix to further rebalance the Ukraine/Russia players. Since there were no engine changes the version remains the same, but the World2023 and World2030 in particular have new balance. You may need to exit Steam and restart to get the latest patches (also, it only affects new games, not saved games).

We'll continue to look at the world balance and make adjustments.

Ok, just did three play throughs as a neutral observer. The Ukraine OP problem has been resolved. Now it's a grinding stalemate.
What I was referring to earlier is that the units are deployed but they are about 40-60 kilometers away from the Frontline. Instead of dispersed along the hexs directly on the front. But it looks like the issue was resolved. Thanks

Thank you very much! China also need to be reviewed also. One war and all neighbour attack and hate you and takes ages to make any progress :3 hehe
