Full Combat Rebalance mod installation
Hi,
Need help, couldn't find a good explanation on how to install this mod with steam version. Tried placing it everwhere, it just doesn't show up in the launcher.

Thx,

Download the mod from here: http://redkit.cdprojektred.com/index.php?c=mod&m=show&p=77|sectionImages|1

Open the installation launcher (.exe) and follow the instruction (it's a classic installation just like any software) If you are not sure about the install directory just copy it in this thread.

That is version 1.1a, while there is already a 1.6, and the installation to me is not that straight forward as it should be.

Are you sure it is not the FCR for The Witcher 1?

Can you show me where you downloaded it?

I have no clue, one moment :p

You should be downloading FCR2 if you're playing The Witcher 2. FCR 1.6 is for The Witcher 1. If it's your first time through the game, don't bother. Just play it stock.

Oh i feel kinda stupid now, sorry :p Thx,

But still it doesn't show up in the launcher "mod" section... is it normal?

No, you need to turn it on in the launcher. Don't get confused though, technically it's always partly on; you need to uninstall it to fully disable it.

Well how do I turn it on if it's not showing in the mod section?
Avenger Grim Aug 26, 2013 @ 4:58pm
Make sure the mod is installed in the right place, it sould be: C:\Users\"User"\Documents\Witcher 2\UserContent

There should be 6 folders in that, fcr2_a0 to fcr2_a4 and fcr2_arena.

So I should not install it like the installer suggests as you first mentioned?
I should change the install location to UserContent?
Avenger Grim Aug 27, 2013 @ 10:39am
No, the installation path should be: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\the witcher 2

The files mentionned above should then automatically be in UserContent, i just want to be sure the they are here, so, are they?

I installed in the folder you mentioned, and which the installer proposed, launched the launcher from steam,
nothing in usercontent

Well i am clueless then :/

You, sir, are not alone!

The default link there is for a hotfix patch for 1.1. You need to look under additional files to get the actual mod, then apply the patch after that.

However, even installing it and getting it to work, I'm noticing some strange problems, such as starting a new game with -16 perk points. I dunno if this mod is really ready for prime time.
