Game Launch Error

Just bought the game, ready to dive in and when I try to launch I get an error that says, "There were errors compiling scripts. Unable to run game. Maybe some selected packages are incompatible?". Then it goes on to list some file paths and says, "parse error, near `{`". Any one know how to fix this? I already tried verifying and it didn't work. Help cause I really wana play this!

me three, the same packages are incompatible.........errors compiling scripts.
quest_functions.ws[2282] parse error
scene_functions.ws[1794] parse error
