Crafted/Bought items not appearing in Inventory!

Hello all.
Recently I've encountered this problem in The Witcher 2.
I'm up the the 3rd chapter and have not come across this problem until now. Whenever I craft or buy an Item (regardless of what it is, bomb, ingredient etc) it will not appear in my inventory. My money and ingredient count goes down but that's it. I have read a few forums with people having the same problems but they are a few years old now and seemed to be fixed with a subsequent patch. I have tried Verifying Game Cache (I think that's what it's called) with no improvement.
If anyone has a solution or is having the same problem would really appreciate knowing.
Oh and there are no mods installed.

You must have forgotten to back your items after a quest involving surrender weapons/items at some point. Reload save files OR search for that chest, take all items in there. All your crafted item might be inside as well.

ok so I've gone back through my saves and the crafting works at the battle for vergen and stops somewhere between there at entering Loc Muinne.
That said at Loc Muinne I could still craft armor but nor ranged weapons or bombs!
Is this a bug?!? Any help would be great cos it's a bit hard when I can't create stuff.

did you ever figured this out? I'm having the exact same problem. I'm in the same area and anything I craft doesn't appear in my inventory.

Sorry for the uber late reply, no I never figured it out.
I had to reinstall windows and it was a good oppurtunity to start again.

Same here. Crafting stops working after you beat the Kayran. Can I finish the game without crafting anything? I'm not re-installing Windows or starting the game over.

Actually I am in the end of second chapter and crafting still works for me.

You need to first select what you craft (different button than to actually craft, on pad A). If you just scroll on it, and directly click "Craft" (Y), it crafts what you may have selected looong time ago - so totally something else than you wanted.

Im at the beggining of Act 1 and cant craft a silver sword in Flotsam. I have already have the 18 iron ore. Funny, that before night, I could craft the sword, but these ingredientes are missing. Now I cant craft the sword anymore.

Silver swords also require Silver ore and lumber, the Dwarven Smith goes to bed at dusk, return at dawn.
