Anyway that's pretty much it. Of course there's also the mod that completely removes weight from all items.
How do you spend experience to get more carry weight? I thought the only thing experience was good for was adding perks on that char development tree.
There is only few armors and weapons in TW2, you won't carry loads of them for sure, as for materials (the things that weight more) you can store them in every city (talk to the inkeeper) in a chest that follow you over the adventure, it is, in fact very easy to manage the weight limit of Geralt's inventory, other than that, like CandyTrox said, you can just add a no weight limit mod to the game. :/
The easier way to manage the materials I've found is to craft what you need as sson as you can, and keep only a few pieces of each prime material. Not perfect, but better than throwing stuff away. Daggers and traps weigh way less than iron and wood.
