Tutorial bugged?

I bought this game when it was on sale a few days ago, started playing through the tutorial, but then the game bugs out when it gets to the part where you have to spend your talents in the character development panel.

I open the character devolpment panel as instructed. I spend the talents as instructed.
Then... nothing. I close the panel but the game doesn't move on to the next step of the tutorial. It remains stuck with the instruction to spend my talents, even though I already have.

I've played through the tutorial twice now and it remains stuck at this point. Anyone else having this problem?

I can't mutate it. For some reason I don't have a mutagen at all.

I only have one talent and I can only mutate an ability at the end of the skilltree :/

Same, i remember i got bug. Anyway, you dont really need to do tutorial. I moved to the story immediately and learn myself. Its easy.

The tutorial is definitely bugged. First I could not move, then I could move only with dodge, then I had to perform the signs Yrden, Axii etc, I pressed like 20x on the required button to get any effect out of it. Couldn't cast the signs from the sign menu for the life of me! totally bugged! Also at the end I was stuck in the same position as the OP, so I watched a youtube video that showed me how to mutate a skill... This tutorial sucks!

Wow, I got it to work, but you have to press space on the mutatable skill instead of just using the mouse. I just started this game and am not enjoying the controller focused design.

I added the talent, and the only thing I could find to mutate was in the top training path, enter that path. It looks like a Star of David with a crown on top. Put your pointer on the circle that is in the ring that surrounds that symbol. The cue/commands to mutate it should come up.

Came here cos of exactly same problem. Whole tutorial feels pretty wierd & not telling you where on screen exactly you need to do things step by step. I also thought it is bug that game doesnt not advance after you setting talent. I was pissed off of all that unnessesery controls that is only may be good for game pad. I've spent like 20 min switching between menus and reading stuff on this page and after some investigation on talent tree I've found the talent "Fortitude" on the top-right have a little slot/socket on it's border. That is where game says (hints that you can push Enter on bottom right side of screen to add mutagen). So mutagen menu pops up & you can add an"ingridient" mutaget... doen't it supposed to serve only as ingridient to make a mutagenic potion? FFS CD Project ............ why everything here is so unnecessarily roughtly complex? I realy dont like controlls & UI in this game.
Yeah, this is actually a talent with Star of David with a crown on top icon.

Yeah you have to place the mutagen. RIGHT CLICK on the fortitude ability in the Witcher training path.

You have to use your mutagen as well

Not bugged, just badly written.

You have to go to the skill that has a mutate dot on it and mutate it.

As for riposte, you cannot do riposte if you have no Vigor. So you have to have enough vigor to both carry off the block...and the desired reposte.

You don't have to repeat the same things over and over again, you know ? :)
It is written on the first page that you have to mutate.... ;)

Bugged for me too. Like the third time going nuts on the guy and hitting/parry randomly I finally got the tutorial to continue.

Some of you are talking about spending talent points and using mutagens, WTF are you guys taking about? I'm at the start of the game and if I even try to open my menu it opens the tutorial directions. How would you have that stuff at the start of the game?

It's a specific thing in the tutorial in the arena phase. You level up, and you are told to use skill points, it however isn't clear on it that you also need to mutate one of your skills to proceed...which has caused a lot of confusion on why the tutorial isn't going anywhere.

it didn't even give me a mutagen, but it does say clearly if you read the full script to mutate a talent, and says to search monsters bodys for mutagens but there are no bodies

Okay, so I figured it out.

This is pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dumb though.

You have to mutate the ability on the top right. (I just started clicking on ♥♥♥♥ all over and stumbled upon it)

It doesn't tell you to do this at all but hope this helps anyone.
