Anybody have any insane mode epilogue saves?

I'm going to get a lot of ♥♥♥♥ for this, but I'm going to try anyways. I've tried playing insane mode, just not good enough, and I keep dying after some of the cutscenes.

Anyways, it's my last achievement, and was wondering if anybody had any save files.

Don't rob yourself of the satisfaction :)
Do a Dark Mode playthrough. Then try insane. Read some guides. It will be a cakewalk.

Yeah, I finished it on dark, but I just can't seem to do it on insane.

Any specific place giving you trouble? Once I got past the prologue, it was not a problem. I used the alchemist based high damage build. Don't forget to re-load if a fight does not go your way.

Can't help you with save files, since my computer crashed not long ago (though would this even work? The save files for insane are supposed to be tied to a specific game installation so you can't just reuse them elsewhere).

Anyway, if you've beat Dark difficulty you have the skill to beat Insane - just need focus and reload as soon as a fight goes badly (and don't try to do dangerous things if they are not needed).

I'll try and post a save for you tonight when I'm on my other machine. Curious to see if that save would work for you. I'm guessing not. Maybe I can give you an excerpt of the windows registry that is used to lock the save file. If you're on windows that is. Not sure how they do it on Mac/Linux.

You're likely going to need to change your gamedata key of your windows registry entry for witcher 2 for the game to allow this save. I put a corresponding .reg file in it.

The save is a quicksave on Roach's path, just before meeting Letho. Don't fight him, I guess :)

PS: maybe you just want to have a look at the build and try yourself after all? :)

1. Back up your own registry entry by following the link vile zergling posted.
2. Import the registry file he uploaded.
3. (Maybe Optional) I backed up and deleted all the old saves.
4. Copy his save along with the thumbnail image.
5. Load up the game, choose not to fight Letho, and as soon as the credits roll, it should show up.
6. If you followed 3., delete vile zergling's save, revert the registry, put your old saves back in.

But yeah, it worked for me.

hey vile zergling i need help with those ♥♥♥♥♥♥ saves, when i copy quicksave after changing registry, i simply cant see it in game, nothing, i deleted all saves and added quick save only, but cloud saves always synchronize it

I disabled the steam cloud, and finally see quicksave, however when i try to reload it, it says doesnt match current dificulty

"saves not present at current difficulty level"

I am currently grateful for any help in this matter, the quicksave just wont work
