The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Enhanced Edition

Any tips on useful potion combinations?
Hi, all,

I believe I'm mid-way through Chapter 1, but I'd like to know if you guys have any useful alchemy combinations you'd like to share.

So far, I've been sticking to Swallow, Rook and Petri's Philter. It's worked well so far, but I can't help feeling that there are better mixtures out there.

Any feedback would be appreciated!

I've been using the first two and cat if it's underground, really useful for seeing enemies around the corner like Batman vision. If I'm above ground I'll use the (can't remember name) that gives 10% attack or sword bonus.:essenceofdeath:

Depends on what kind of playstyle you're doing right now. I mean that's the reason why there's different varieties of potions and varying effects right? For me, I'm all out offensive so I use Swallow and Rook plus Tawny Owl for those fights that require heavy sign usage.

potions are not as important early on because they are percentage based
rook always on
the two best potions apart from that are white raffards with the correct alchemy perks and thunderbolt
you can use what you find, you should only brew those 3 potions, the rest is pretty much a waste of resources, you'd rather stack on bombs (damage and stun ones, i.e. grapeshot and zerrikanian sun)

at the start you want to ignore potions with more than 25 tox, because the "low quality potions" have less/no downsides and are quite potent for their cost

Why can't I find anything on thunderbolt's manufacture.

[s]So it takes 2 of each thing, right? But it looks like it ate 8 of each item. I put cortinarius in both slots and suddenly have 8 less...? I don't have enough mandrake for this and will have to reload because it either just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ my inventory or there's this really weird bug, because I got it to make 1 potion from only using up 2 of something iirc. There's no tooltip or item description that tells you about this.[/s]

thunderbolt is glitched. I was wondering if that's the case knowing CDPR and wondering how they managed to ♥♥♥♥ up crafting an inventory item like that, which sure enough after taking one look at how it suddenly has two of each item, it introduces a bug.
