"Lilies and Vipers"
I think most of you had trouble to find out the right mixture for checking the letter from Kimbolt. After some tries i looked in the guide for the right solution. But i don't understand how the solution can be derived from the hints. Does anyone know to derive the solution from the hints?

Drunken Scribe can tell you something. And you have draft letters to test things out. Finally, there is save/load option.

There's no straightforward way as far as I can tell. It's a bit of try and error. Hence the bunch of test letters you have. I checked the original polish version, and it's ever so slightly more indicative of what to do, not much though. Bit disappointing really, as it's a nice idea for a puzzle.

Some try&error is ok. But without some information you have 6*5*4*3=360 possibilities to try through. (Assuming each action is only done at most once. Without this you have 6^4 = 1296). So how can the given hints (Including the scribe) can reduce this amount to a reasonable number?
I did not understand the hints and neither understand how the solution fits to the hints.

1. Light - Add burnt lime to the flask; (light vs. burn is lost in translation from the original)
2. Quench - Add water to the flask; (that one is rather indicative)
3. ♥♥♥♥ - Add cormorant guano to the flask; (guano -> bird dung)
4. Rinse - Heat the flask, capture the vapors and douse them with water. (that one does not seem to match all that well)

On my first attempt at solving this puzzle I did not get the light = burnt lime equivalence, but got everything else right. Not entirely random I suppose.

Thanks.
This can make sense. It seems i just misunderstood the hints.

I wonder if there's anything about the second part of the message. "To read the truth by lies deformed, guano into piss transform." The wiki doesn't mention it, only the first formula.
