No Kayran Armor Diagram

After killing the Kayrana nd getting my reward from the merchant I was not rewarded the diagram, even though I convinced the merchant to double the pay earlier. Does anyone else have this problem? And is there any other way to get the armor?

I honestly wouldn`t worry about not getting that armor diagram there is a much better one later in the same chapter . (hint) troll
Also if you have the FCR 2 mod that changes some of the rewards that are given for quests .

You have to have successfully used the hex to convince the merchant to pay you double to get the diagram

There was a diagram for troll armor? I already completed that quest (spared him) and gave him the she-trolls head. No armor diagram.

Yeah it's called the Hunter's Armor [witcher.wikia.com] you get it when you turn in the trolls wife head, IRC it's a little worse than the Kayran one but it's negligable. About the other thing can't help you there, must be a bug.

Edit: A guy on the GoG forums [www.gog.com] claims to have had a similar problem as you and found the diagram in the blue stripes HQ in Floatsam. It was posted in 2011 though so it may be outdated

Maybe my games bugged or it has to do with the fact I have combat rebalance 2 installed?

Yeah the mod might be messing with something, not unlikely. I just did 3 seperate playthorughs recently and had no problems getting them at least, but the hunter's armor is so close in stats (higher armor even) I'd just go for that and move on IMO.

Yeah I still miss the achievement though (Unless I download a save where someones wearing the kayran armor I guess)

This [www.dropbox.com] is my second playthrough, I'm on the prisonbarge right after killing the Kayran, haven't yet crafted the armor yet, you should be able to get the achievement this way. Believe me I understand the pain :P.

Do you have all the materials you need in that save?

I can't recall, but I'm pretty sure I have a lot in my stash and should have a lot of orens so you can just buy the rest (Vendors restock if you go to lobinden and then run back) merchant on market square sells cloth and leather shouldn't be more than 4 trips outside flotsam and back to get everything if you have nothing to begin with, just load it up and check.

I put it in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\id\20920\remote and it's not loadable in game.

Also I just checked and I don't have the hunter armor diagram either even though I know for a fact I gave the troll the head. Now I am 100% sure this has to do with the mod or a bug.

EDIT: Turns out it is the mod. Why would a mod remove content from the game? That's just sad. I wonder if it's still possible to get them at any point in the game.

Not in the base game, you'd have to check the mod description. Maybe you can't load it because of the mods? The save is completely vanilla.

When you say "Not loadable" do you mean that you see the save but just can't load it, beacause it was an insane difficulty run, maybe there's a safety measure so people can't share those and get the achievement

I tried it again with all those saves and no luck, saves may be tied to the user id and can't be exchanged.
