Imported neutral path and kept Siegfried alive ending and get angry flaming rose knight in Chapter II
Hi everyone, basically as titile suggested, I played the neutral path in witcher 1 and kept Siegfried alive by talking him out before the final boss fight. I was sure I imported the right save because that was I only played the first game once. However, I still got the angry flaming rose knight in chapter 2 for some reasons... It's quite frustrating that given how few decisions in the first game is imported in the second game, the devs can't still get it right after so many updates...

hmmm, i got this problem too. I left Siegfried alive in witcher 1 and in witcher 2 they say i killed him. Very annoying and also no idea why.
From what i can tell, it doesn't seem to be a very common problem.

Actually, it would appear that unless you sided with the order and spared him in the witcher 1, he'll be considered dead (killed by geralts hand) in the witcher 2.

So if you're neutral throughout The Wicther but still decide to help out - which forces you to fight at the side of The Order and eventually has the game deciding you aren't neutral after all - then Sigfried will be alive in Wicther 2 (provided he was alive at the end of The Wicther)?

Yes, I think that's likely.
