Witcher 2, colors way too vivid and bright
Sorry if this has been covered before but I can't find the answer. I decided to play Witcher 2 again and the colors are just waaaay too vivid. Way bright, almost neon like. I did play before and remember this but I don't remember if I fixed it somehow. How do you mute the colors so the game looks normal? Like as if the contrast is too high. I have a GeForce 660 Ti graphics card btw. Witcher 1 game is normal

Also, I don't have a Witcher 1 save anymore. Is Adda still around in Witcher 2 from the defaults?

Thanks

think adda is dead if you dont have a save. that part was really just as a touch for tw1 players i think; think foltest mentions it or something. not a factor in gameplay like the suit/weapons are if you got those in tw1.

can you post a screenshot?

Isn't that the normal color scheme? I thought it was, but maybe it was because my desk is infront of my window, and the Sun is always shining into my eyes 9 hours a day, so I can't see a thing... Maybe I should buy some drapes and recalibrate my monitor properly. Oh, well. :))

That looks like the normal colour.

Turn down your gamma or brightness in video options in game to see if it helps.

yeah it looks like normal palette to me as well. the tutorial/arena is intentiaonlly kind of offputting looking for w/e reason, but the game is also quite vivid by default, its meant to look artistic/fantasy-ish moreso than photorealistic. to me that looks ok, wouldnt mind a third opinion tho.

here are some screens that i jsut randomly found on google search --

ok, thanks for the replies. Maybe I didn't do anything the first time through. Wish I could turn down the contrast, Geralt's face looks like it's glowing and sometimes his hair looks blue-ish with an after glow

I'd turn of bloom. makes everything look like a lightsaber in this game.
