Blade Oil?
I've got a formula for blade oil but it doesn't seem to offer any advantages. It does say it's a crafting component but I've crafted quite a lot of things and it hasn't been required so far. I'm at the Locc Muinne stage. Has anyone had to use it? or is it just another variant of basic components?

This is the formula for the ingredient, oil. There is a crafting recipe and a formula for it.

In Witcher 1, the variety of blade oils was way better and diversify (griffin oil for one, which last 10 hours and which I used constantly)....In Witcher 2, oils last 5 minutes....I couldn't be bother with it...

I sold all that I found in chapter one to buy a new sword and never found any again so beats me haha.

you can extend the oil and potion duration in the alchemy skill tree
