Does he lose them often?

so only 3 people got it, about 10 insulted me and the rest had a debate about swords.

Steam threads in a nutshell, lol

And some people "got it" and chose to participate in a discussion about swords anyway.

It was really annoying having the kids constantly chasing after you, asking that question over and over and over...I really wished I could simply cut off their heads so I wouldn't have to hear it anymore.

You can also sleep during the day and venture the area at night. Those kids aren't around 24/7.

he has a silver and a steel sword. The steel one is for animals and human enemies, whilst the silver sword is used against demons and other creatures. You deal more damage to enemies if you use the correct sword.

typing a dialog from kids nobody likes :)
And there is a REAL reason why gerald has two swords!
Both swords hit nomral for everyone buuuuut:
Gerald uses the Iron sword and forges it to a pan to fry his meal.
The Silver sword will get forged into lovely silver cutlery. Why?
Because WITCHER always use their own Pan and never it without there Silverware.
Now you know why witcher sleep less and are always so strong, forging a sword to a pan and reforging it back to the perfect sword it was is a hard life.
And why can he carry 2 swords and get them from his back so easy?
Since he forged and reforged the sword so often his muscles are so bad he can only get the sword with one robotic move, because his arm will not allow him to take the sword an other way.
And he is not defenssles while he does it, all is enemys start to discuss why he is doing this and talkign to each other how stupid it is to get a weapon from his back it will leave him defensless and while they discuss Gerald can do what he wants. THATS the ONLY real reason you should ACCEPT.
BEGONY KNAVE!

Never read the books but afaik he had two swords there, as did every witcher. Steel for men, silver for monsters.
Both are for monsters.

I'll put my money on the fact that the author of the stories the series is based upon, thought having two swords would look cool.

I've just started reading Lady of the Lake, which has only just come out with an official English translation, and have read all the previous novels. Not once in six books has Geralt had two swords. Guess it was just a thing they added to the game.

lol, Yeah he has. In the last wish against stryga he uses that, but only a little. In sword of destiny bunch of times. Damn, in every book, until he loses his fight against Vilgefortz. Then he gets that dwarf runesword.
Maybe you just skipped bunch of pages, or that English translation is garbage.
