Skyrim rip off?

Not knowing much about The Witcher, it looks like a Skyrim wannabe.

But as they said, you shouldn't judge a book by its cover...

Skyrim blows. They dumbed it down WAY too much so they could sell copies to the brain mush masses who are too used to COD to learn to play an in depth RPG. Enemey variety is non existent. You fight random bandits, necromancers, old nord zombies, goblin rip offs, Dwemer machines (if you're lucky) and dragons. That's all. Caves/dungeons with generic respawning loot makes money essentially free, crafting system is bassicly god mode being able to make the best armor in the game with practically no effort. I watched my friend go from 0 blacksmithing to master in 30 minutes in one crafting session.

Skyrim is a joke, it does not deserve the elder scrolls name. The best thing to come out of Skyrim is the Morrowind remake on the Skyrim engine.

finally, summirized my thoughts about this game perfectly. it's good to see that people finally coming around and realize what a dull game skyrim really is. im getting sick of all the kids screaming its the best game ever

Compared to Oblivion, skyrim is a childs toy.

Yup, Witcher 1 and 2 are Skyrim Rip off. H.G Wells did the same thing in his book War of the Worlds, he ripped off the tri-pod idea from Half Life 2 -.-

Witcher 2 actually has a branching story that's more than some lame mirror-imaging, and is more demanding of the player. Skyrim's balance is pretty much a joke if you build your character right.

Skyrim doesn't have a story? Haven't heard something that stupid in a while. The Witcher forums are not to be used by haters as a tool to complain about Skyrim.
Both games have a great story and great gameplay. None of those is a rip off. They're extremely different. If you liked Skyrim, you'll like this one too.

You are completely right fede01_8, in fact, in my experience, I have found that any game in a magic medieval setting is often a Skyrim ripoff.

I think this game is more of a Call of Duty MW2 ripoff, the best and first FPS ever made.

But then I think it's more like a World of Warcraft ripoff, the best and first MMO ever made.

It's really a tough call.
