Report a translation problem
Make sure you have admin privileges, or the steam service is running properly (when in doubt, restart computer). Then reinstall the game.
How to reinstall without redownload:
- navigate to steam\steamapps\common\
- Find the game folder and move it elsewhere (on the same harddrive)
- Go into steam library and uninstall the game.
- Move the game folder back to common folder.
- Go to library and hit install again.
- Steam will discover existing files and only download/install settings, etc it deleted.
Also verify game cache.
Please resolve the following:
A newer version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable has been detected on the machine.
So i gues i alredy have the newest version of it
And i think these should be covered in windows updates. Is your system uptodate?

and downloaded the witcher 2 patch 3.3 after that i started the game and it is working just fine now. + It downloads all the newst patches for you after you have started the game once after downloading patch3.3.

I uppdated to version 3.4 working just fine for me

Found the file and solved the error which was caused. Thanks anyway.
