It however has Dark Difficulty with difficulty-exclusive sets of armor and weapons as well as Insane difficulty with permadeath.

thats useless cause we want to import our end game char and start again and do it all agian. not grind for hours on end and then our char progresses are dirted. why? cause you dont want us to harvest hero spawn's thats why. its crap.and you know it.
Ill never get why devs stopped using new game+ for replayability.

Stopped? I don't think I haver every played a game with it except for Diablo series. Seems like it was a rare feature to begin with.
Dark souls, torchlight 2, chrono trigger all i believe have had it.... seems generally rpgs

Its very common in a lot of RPG's. Some handle it a bit differently depending on the game but theres usually some feature there to import certain things. Usually level, gear, money.

The trade off of course being that everything is now harder or scaled to your current level.

Hi,
Could Projekt Red code a New Game Plus and update it in a patch? I want to replay the game but I'm quite annoyed at restarting from zero.

I am pretty sure they are done supporting the game through patches at this point. Perhaps you could find a mod that can help you.

I'm ok with a mod... Is there one to download?
Search for one.
Couldn't find any... I don't want to change his hair colour or build the game from scratch with Redkit

Ok, still doesn't change what I said, still seems like a rare feature. You mentioned a couple of games (looked it up, not all FF games had the feature, most in fact did not have that feature).

To me, it seems more like the question should be, "Why didn't New Game+ ever catch on all that much?"

Is NGP very difficult to code? It's just a continuing on with your save data, on a replay..

NG+ seems to be a very common element in JRPG or JRPG style games in my experience, there are quite a few games out there that have it in truth, DEUS EX: HUman Revolution, the whole Dark Souls Trilogy, Dragons Dogma, Chrono Trigger (as previously stated), White Knight Chronicles, and many more though to go through a whole list would take longer t han I am preared to commit at this time.

Isn't New Game Plus a given? Most games don't bother to make a good NGP. They just toss you the same salad with harder bits.
