Weird "spongie" mouse when arm wrestling
Forgive me, but I have looked in forums and on the net for assistance, but most seem to be generic mouse lag. The overall mouse response is OK, not where I would like it to be, but it is still passable.

The problem is, and maybe it is actually supposed to be this way, when I go to arm wrestle the brute at the first camp after coming out of the tent... the mouse is really "spongie" in response.

It responds fantastic when I first start the game and go to select a new game, load a game, select options and all of that, but in the actual game, it is a little off in the menus. Again, it is REALLY noticable in the arm wrestling portion when trying to center the coin or whatever it is.

Is there anyone that can lend some suggestions?

Have a blessed day,

The mouse does lag a bit if you can't maintain 60fps. its not terrible but its there. As for Arm Wrestling...yeah, that happens no matter what :P Maintaining 60fps *helps* but you cant really fix the spongy feeling during arm wrestling.

Hmmm... then I guess it is as good as it's going to get :) Even though I don't think I am at 50+ fps, it still seems better than it did before getting this new computer.

And thank you for the quick response as well, it is most appreciated.

As far as arm wrestling goes...you have to create a balance of mouse movement to the right AND the D movement key. The better the arm wrestler is the more you need to pull and let off those.
I use a Razer Death Adder mouse and never experience any problems. They do wear out and need replaced at times.

Interesting about the "d" key in conjunction with the mouse movement... I had no idea. I have purposely not gone any further than the first camp area until the spongie mouse stuff had been addressed. But now, with the help and advice you have given, the world is fair game :)

I've tried it with a controller, with a mouse, with the keyboard... And I just can't get used to that damn arm wrestling. Lost twenty or so of them, won two, ran with my "victories". Ugh.
