dark mode question

hey, ive just started my second run in dark mode because of iorveth path i want to take (achievements) and lvl 35 achiev, i have missed one quest with melitele heart, because i forgot to kill newboy at the end of prolog so i couldnt take medalion and couldnt finish the chain, anyway is it easy to get 35lvl with dark/iorveth setup? i have missed the 35lvl by stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 50xp on roche path on hard setting (no, faming monsters etc didnt help), i simply dont wanna do the same mistake again, i have the xp boost right from the time i could get it (start of chapter 1) , i heard that xp given in dark mode is higher also due to crafting armor sets, any info appreciated

Dark mode is fun. Its not "that" much more difficult, especially if you craft the new armorsets/swords. I'd reccomend crafting the armor sets FIRST because they can be mixed and matched as much as you want. The Dark mode swords HAVE to be used with the FULL set (including both swords) or you'll drain your life.

Iorveth's path is the best imo. It has a lot of sidequests, Vergen is awesome and Saskia is really cool. Roche's path feels like the path Geralt would really take and the "cannon" path, but Iroveths is worth going through. It has more sidequests than Roches so you should be fine XP wise

as I said, my main reason for another playthrough is the achievement run, I think dark is not really that hard, because I know the game after 60+ hours with first playthrough, im just doing it on dark because of the more +exp so i am ensured that I will reach 35lvl by the end of the game, I was told by friend who had done the dark mode that he reached 35lvl before he hit Loc muine (chapter 3) so there should be plenty of exps, i just want to see confirmation from other ppl who have done dark mode

60 hrs? O.o I finished my 1st playthrough on Hard Difficulty with all the side quests complete in 29 hrs... what the hell did you do for 60 hrs? XD Even reached lv 35 without the dummy xp boost (I actually found about that later XD). Btw I was also thinking of doing another run but from the looks of it the Roche path isn't that much fun. Is it worth it?
P.S. No I don't care about achievements, they're not even PS/Xbox ones.

i was doing the whole prolog thing like 5-6 times and I was playing this game for like 2 years before i finally got the right mood to finish it and not being stuck in chapter 1 all the time, i really didnt like how console-like is was (inventory etc), also I did lot of the side quest numerous times because of the paths/sides (reload and doing the other one etc), it is worth only if you care about it enough to dedicate another 20-30 hour for another gameplay, I dont want to start w3 till i have 100% in w2

I've done the same as you: First hard mode, then second run on dark mode (Iorweth Part). I didn't have taken the EXP-Boost (didn't even knew of this boost until now xD) and right now I am at the start of chapter 3.

I've done all side quests and farmed a bit on the harpies and now I am nearly level 31. With the extra EXP boost you should come to level 35 on Iorweth without problems mate!

You don't have to kill Newboy to get Melitele's Heart. Just take it when offered in the conversation with the Reavers before meeting Fotest.

it doesnt matter, i just simply didnt get that, but i have farmed 3 lvls just by killing nekkers/endregas a the start to cover up that xp loss

Easiest way to get the LVL 35 Achievement is in the arena

Not true: Check my achievements. I got it just the other day screwing around in the arena

You do have to complete 35 fights. I got mine on an early run though that had a loss at 28

I started thegame playing only Dark mode. I'm farming nekkers and the forest to get the Blasphemer armor set, only 1 piece remaining. I think the difficulty setting is great! And you ahve to farm a little to get the nice stuff so I believe you cannot avoid level 35.
