The Potion Swallow doesn't work for me in Battle.

I vaguely seem to remember it working at the very start of the TW2. However for ages it has not worked in battle. I am in chapter 3 now so it's been a hard game.

(I verified cache files on my original installation. I have re-downloaded the whole game and re-installed.)

I think swallow enhances vitality regeneration once out of battle, but in battle nothing. In battle the health bars stays where it is. Until I get hit again that is.

As you can imagine it means that fights are extremely hard. It usually means rolling around a lot and using Igni. When the odds are many enemies to one, it often means dying repetedly. It's very hard to roll away from so many for so long.

I am saved at the start of a battle right now where four jump into a pit and attack. Then four more jump in, when most of the first lot are dead. Then four more jump in. I have died lots so far.

I have googled for an answer but all the results are for peolpe asking how to use potions. Or just how do you heal in battle.
