Stuttering/Lagging bad :(
Hi! I getting a weired annoying lag in this game. The framerate drops and the game stops for 1 or 2 secs. Whenever i open the meditate, almechemy menu and even the battle when you cast a sign. Tried setting Maximum Pre-Rendered frames to 1 on Nvidia Control Panel, Turn on Adaptive V-Sync, setting the texture memory to very small. I get 120 fps on everthing set to ultra (Ubersampling turned off). Tried lowering the settings to the lowest possible nothing works :(

Here are my specs

Intel Core i7 4770K
Asus GTX 660 Ti DC2T
8GB 2133MHZ RAM
Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

Try setting the texture memory to very high. One reason for suttering is that textures have to be loaded into memory repeatedly from the hard drive so the more often it needs to happen, the more suttering you will notice. You could also defragment the hard drive that you have the game installed on if it's not an SSD. Secondly, check your other processes that are running to see if anything could be interfering with the game, e.g. defrag, antivirus, firewalls, xfire, etc.

From there change the TextureMemoryBudget value to 1000. The very large setting only allows for 600mbs and im assuming your 660ti has 2gb of vram at least, which will handle a lot more than 600mbs. You might even be able to set a little higher, you can experiment with different values but I wouldnt go any higher than 1500 or else it might start crashing.

Also as a last resort try forcing triple buffering with d3doverrider (google it). The triple buffering in Nvidia panel only works for opengl games.
The custom texture size worked for me. I changed it from 600 to 3072 (3GB). I have two 4GB (4096MB) GTX 780M in SLI. That really smoothed thing up for me. :D

Depth of field effects bring FPS down considerably in this game, so consider turning those off if those are the places you're talking about.

Very demanding game on Ultra settings. Unless you have an extremely powerful GPU or two decent GPUs in SLI you will get occasional performance hits. If you add another 660ti for SLI it should stop giving any trouble, or replace your 660ti with a 780ti. A second 660ti in SLI would be cheaper & you would get almost the same performance. I am running two 780M in SLI & this game runs flawlessly. A 780M is almost exactly equal on performance as a 660ti. So 660ti SLI should be about the same on performance as my 780M SLI.

Did you open up the graphics options after you edited the .ini? Cause that resets it to 100mb.
