[SPOILER] What about Triss, if I choose to free Philippa in For a Higher Cause?
As title says. If I decide to free Philippa in Act 3 during the quest "for a higher cause", what about Triss? Does she die?
And does it has consequences in The Witcher 3?

Spoilers for the consequences of this choice in TW2 and in TW3:

Triss won't die either way.

If you free Triss you'll undermine Nilfgaard's plot to blame all sorceresses on the king slaying. Only the guilty ones (e.g. Sila) will be pursued. But you won't get a chance to help Saskia.

If you free Philippa you'll get the means to free Saskia from the spell, but Niflgaard will accuse all Lodge members of the king slaying (Triss included) and this will start a massive pogrom in the North kingdoms against all magic users. Letho, out of loyalty to Geralt, will free Triss from the Nilfgaardians.

Neither choice has any consequences in TW3.

Thanks mate. I want to free Philippa for justice, but I also want to f**k Triss in TW3 :D

Well, "justice" is relative as always in the Witcher world.
Philippa is not the most trustworthy person.
And regardless of your choice here, you'll have a chance to romance Triss in TW3.

I think the only crap part is that the Saskia arc is totally irrelevant for W3. You would expect Phillipa to have, or not, a dragon at her disposal would make a BIG difference.

It doesn´t.

I read so many things.
The best "good ending" choice, seems to be the freeing of Philippa ignoring Triss, and to use the dagger with Saskia.
But I've read that if you don't free Triss, then there is a massacre in Loc Muinne.
Without forget the decision to let Sile and Letho alive.

What is your suggestion about it?
What consequences I'll have in The Witcher 3?

All choices also have bad consequences. So a "best ending" is based on what is the lesser evil for you.

None make any difference for TW3.

I suggest you make the choice that you believe *your* Geralt would make.

Whether you save Triss or help Philippa has no impact on how you eventually choose to deal with Sile and with Letho.

Also, the way I see it, the choice is really whether to help Triss or to help Saskia (by way of helping Philippa).

if triss will be alright either way, then I'd rather help saskia as well ^^
