i cant do it atm anyway bc my hdd failed so i dont have tw2 installed, but its worth a shot if someone is willing to do it.
It might be okay played with joystick and the likes but should have been fixed for computers and mouse users. Just walking Geralt with the keyboard is already a nonsense, and for that fight you would need at least four hands and 4 eyes... and two brains.
Witcher is a great and beautiful game, but as soon as you pretend to sell, the least you could do is acting a bit professionnal.
And for many reasons, the Witcher's creators don't... especially when it comes to Mac users who, for instance, can't even play W1 anymore.
For more than two years now...
I think I can kill him with mouse and 1 finger, max 2 because dodging helps (don't even think it is required though)
seriously, he is not hard.
and no he is a boss monster, of course you can't skip him, unless someone else kills him for you as mentioned above.
Any way, the best way to fight the kayran is the trap Sign. Quen or something? Can't remember.Anyway, to beat the Kayran, cast the sign in front of you, and wait behind it, till the Kayran attacks, then jump out of the way. The sign will paralyze the Kayran's tentacle, and you can attack the TENTACLE. The RED SPOT on the TENTACLE is the one you must attack.
If you keep doing this, it will eventually knock down that old building next to it, pinning it to the ground. DO not attack the body of the Kayran. That will only kill you. Go to where the building has fallen, and run up it. Once you reach the top, this wil trigger a sequence that will kill the Kayran. Easy.
You only need two hands to defeat this creature. Depending on what you are using, whether it is a keyboard, or a controller, it works the same. For Keyboard, in case you haven't found this yet, Q is a short cut key for the sign you have selected at the time, seen at the bottom left of your screen. It is their for the console as well Pressing Q, or the sign command on the controller will set that sign down in front of you.
Hope this helps for people who are having trouble. FOr the people who's computer does not like the game, try what starkiller9699 dod and turn down your resolution and graphics. SHould help make the game run easier, and you can always turn it back up afterwards.
Hope this helps. Adious. (Is hat how its spelled? Any spanish people out there that can help me?)
Anyway, yeah. Kayran traps imo are useless, Yrden trap + silver sword works as good but the yrden is a bit quicker to set. Then hide behind the big rubble after the bridge crashed down, then run up on the collapsed bridge to the left, the rest is scripted.
The whole fight is really just about hacking off three tentacles, then dodging the other tentacles. Took me a few tries to understand I have to run up on the left in the end. Trying to atack its body will just kill you right away.
Combats were a bore in W1, and the mecanics way to complicated in W2.
Only my opinion, that's for sure but still, that's one opinion, as valid as any other.
The worse part of the story being that company never answering any request... and I'm not talking about asking the money back.
I clearly remember myself getting stucked there for few days before I googled how to kill him. But anyway I think once you killed him only 1 time u can do it on Dark or Insane without even losing HP.
That would make sense.
