But the first game didnt show anything much so I allowed it.It only showed nude cards and that was like no big deal.He is 12 he should be allowed to see that much but not the sex scene with women.

I'm sure he's seen far worse.

But, no, you can't censor it.

to be honest this is not a game for a 12-year old...
apart from those scenes he won't even understand most of the story, especially the whole genocide and war between scoi'atel and humans.
Apart from the language, the whole gore, and absurd improtance of dialogue - I just pray that you get him something else... seriously...
apart from that, I don't remember any censorship mod, I guess due to nature of the game...

@jammy: those statements piss me off. you're sure? so it's ok? There are some maturity ratings that actually make sense, especially in the witcher... encourage your own kid all you like but don't suggest such stuff to other people. Really.

Think that you have a brother.A brother that doesn't play common games like his friends do.A brother that wants to be like you and want to play what you play.He choose to play unique games that I enjoy and doesn't want to play stupid games like League of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and common games like such. What would you do?

I'm pretty sure you didn't start gaming the last year so you know a few games that are appropriate, still challenging all the same and take a less direct approach to mature topics.

Just because your little brother wants to be like you and you visit a brothel once a week does NOT mean you should take him with you... (sorry no offense just needed a graphic example that actually exists in the witcher)

Rated M...Your brother can play a thousand games (rated pre-teen) instead....And wait...
Lorska Jul 7, 2014 @ 1:54pm
Haha
that's good. That means he really trusts you if he can accept that. And I think you know some games you played some time ago that were not that mainstream. I believe if you just give him something you enjoyed yourself a few years ago he'll still be happy ;)

My kids are around 12, and I let them play a bit, but they simply didn't like it, and, simply, decided not to play it by themselves. That's the best answer to me.
Sex isn't a problem when violence & blood might be.
Kids are weirdos...

What is amusing is the fact that you would mind him seeing some very softcore nudity/sex but have no problem with the graphic violence. The opening scene/into shows a guy being beheaded... The game itself raises moral questions about death, racism and all sorts. In comparison a few tits are hardly anything to be worried about.

i'm relatively certain that the first game contained nudity too...

+1

A little nudity is not ok, but graphical violence is? No, this is not a game a child should play. Personally, I didn't find the nudity all that interesting. It was just a part of the story, like many R rated movies. I've seen it all before, but I'm an adult.

Make him wait. and I agree with Militant and Troy. Nudity is nothing compared to gore and violence. IMO.
