Also, take your time in the cave. The number and position of the spawns are fixed - i.e. they won't keep spawning indefinitely or in random spots. Move slowly, and be mindful that the next spawn of them might be behind you. If so, position yourself properly so you aren't surrounded.
And if it's still too difficult, just remember to keep Quen active, and roll to the entrance (there's a line they won't cross and you can be safe there - even Save the game).
If you've upgraded Feet Work (roll distance) you shouldn't have any problems rolling past them (especially with Quen on to absorb a potential hit from some lucky nekker). Also, if you've upgraded Quen to reflect damage back to them, it's even better for helping you roll out of a crowded situation.
Same tips apply, though I was thinking of the cave just outside Flotsam's harbor, where there are *many* more nekkers popping up.
