How to go to Vergen?

I've been there already and I returned to the camp. Now I want to finish the harpy quest, but I can't exit the fog. Where should I go?

you get only one ticket to vergen and back.

why didn't you finish the harpy quest when you get it then?
it's not that unreasonable that you don't get a free pass for the mist...
And I believe they even said that at one point.
(not on iorveth though but it makes sense that you can't take away vergens sorceress for every small trip ><)

Because I completed the first section and got to where you have to collect 60. I didn't feel like grinding it at that time. I thought I could do it later when I still was in ACT 2. I went to the entrance of Vergen in the fog, but it keeps respawning me at the start when I get there.

it is a really simple task to "grind" them though, if you are at the bottom and rest at the stone door you need 10 minutes maximum to get all feathers. and 10 is really a stretch, more like 5-6.

the thing that you got to traverse the mist does not have unlimited power, so you can't use it.
btw I did not do that quest on roche, but it may be possible to turn that in after the mist disappeared during the siege, but don't know - that quest is useless, not much gold, no useful items, zero experience

I read that when you lift the mist that the sidequest gets failed.

I would have appreciated being informed of literally any of this. The game doesn’t tell you the medallion is limited use, the game doesn’t tell you you won’t be able to return, the game doesn’t tell you any quests you leave behind will not be completable because you cannot return. This is really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dumbass design.

The game does tell you to use quick saves often, the game does tell you to make use of the load save option, the game does tell you most things if you pay attention to the game. You are told early on that you will not be returning to any of the places you leave, You need to accept that you're a minority in your opinion of bad design and just show us your better design. you probably expected fast travel like the witcher 3 and many games since this one came out. Try playing the games in order of release and stop complaining.
