the subtitles are not displayed

the subtitles are not displayed on the game. I don't see any subtitles, someone know how to fix it ?

Did I understand you correctly: You have activated the subtitles under Options - Gameplay and they are not displayed?

No, i have no any subtitles when i launch game, no dialogue etc.

go to folder
Documents\Witcher2\Config
look in file User.ini

I have subtitles and this is what sets them
[Gameplay]
ShowSubtitles=1

which as stated above are set after you launch the game then go into
options>gameplay->titles

either the game launcher is not writing to the User.ini file
or the game is not reading the User.ini file

my game is in english. if you are using another language perhaps someone using your language can advise

i mean, i have no subtitles on menu, after dialogue etc. After conversation with any hero i can choose dialogue but i don't see what there is. On menu too, i dont see anythink, but when I hover the mouse to the right place i see that there is any text which i don't see. I also reinstall witcher 2, check the consistency of the game files

so maybe something wrong with the graphics libraries on your pc

steam verify game files. hopefully that fixes things.

if not go to the game folder then the redist folder
run vcredist_x86.exe with admin permission
then go in to the DirectX folder and run dxsetup with admin permission

if a menu appears that says uninstall, repair, install use the repair option
