Dethmold in Iorveth's path [Spoilers]
So... I'm just at the point in the story where Saskia has triumphed over King Henselt and I'm a bit confused about two things:

  • As part of the terms of Henselt's surrender, Philippa Eilhart makes a point of asking for Dethmold's death on the basis that he's committed "war crimes"—what is she referring to? It's not like he did any worse than any other supporter of Henselt? I mean, war's war, or am I missing something? They don't ask for Henselt's death, do they.

Obviously, her own reasons are to replace Dethmold with Síle de Tansarville as Henselt's adviser, but her way of justifying it to everyone else as "war crimes" seems a bit unconvincing.

  • Why hasn't Dethmold told Henselt (or anyone else for that matter) about Saskia's secret? Seems like that would've been a pretty important thing to do after escaping her and Geralt in the tunnels of Vergen.

    Any thoughts?
