Not getting the quest reward...

Hi, I completed the Endrega Contract and the Nekker Contract, and turned them into Louis Merse, but he won't give me the schematic for the superb witchers' silver sword.

I am using full combat rebalance mod, does the mod change it? OR is the wiki wrong and I have the kill the troll as well?

my guess is you either didn't look closely enough (happens from time to time, and the message about the diagram instantly disappears)
or FCR. it changes item distribution and stats across the board, so the wiki won't help you at all...
apart from that, the mod isn't that good...

in vanilla you only need to turn in both contracts

I've checked my inventory, its not there :(

I'm going to assume that its the mod, the wiki says that I'm suppose to get 150 orens for each contract, but I ended getting 200 orens. I've reloaded so many times, I'll just move on.

I'd say it's the mod, it changes many many things, including quest rewards (some rewards went to merchants or got removed). You should look for the merchants around the area if they sell the schematics you're lookin' for, some may also be removed from the game (I for example couldn't find the schematic for the Kayran Armor and some other stuff later on).

Yeah, I didn't get the schematic for the Kayran Armor too :(
Now I can't get the achievement.
I suppose, I'll have to start a new game, if I wanna play without the mod.

I'd say just forget about it, advance the main storyline until you get to fight the Arachas in Iorveth's hideout. The Sword of Kaer Morhen should be somewhere nearby, it's slightly better. It's physical damage is slightly lower, but it has increased bleeding and a 1% chance for an instant kill.

Hmm, haven't seen that sword around, but I sticked to the swords I got when I imported my Witcher 1 savegame, I used them till ... I guess it was the end of Act 2 or so. They both had around 25 damage if I remember it right.

And the 1% chance for an instant kill ... you might have not noticed, that the mod has some kind of OP bug - have you seen the Ysgith Runes (I think they were called like that)? 200% Chance of Instakill is quite hilerious. The mod is good in some parts, but stuff like that and the missing stuff kinda breaks it for me. Also, both Upgrades for the signs (the ones where you get the Winter Solstice and Summer Solstice achievements) don't seem to work.

tha "kinda" breaks it for you? the import stuff is bad enough but FCR introduces 100% kill chance runes? wtf?
the game is utterly pointless then...

The mod was fairly enjoyable in some (well, rare) parts, but it needs quite huge work to fix the bugs out, but I doubt that will come in the near future.

Well, you don't have to use the runes. It was more disappointing, that mutagens were quite useless (well you can get 3 slots in the Alchemy tree), so were the trophys which only gave bonus stuff, when you learned the Preparation talent in the Alchemy tree.

It was quite exhausting, to look for several items in the several merchant shops, but most good stuff was simply missing or I just didn't found it.

I would tend to say, that the mod is only there to play for the lolz in the current state. I mean, you can even use the Ysgith Runes in the Arena (gladly, the rankings don't get published because the changed game files) and slaughter through that like forever.

Damn son...that's a shame. I was wondering why I didn't get the diagram for Superb Silv Sword. I think it's indeed the Combat Rebalance mod. Unfortunately Flash is an idiot and kept the mod documentation locked so no one can read what he did. I did however get the schematics to build the Kayran armor so that's good for me. I'm just gonna stop ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with the mods now and just have fun.
