How can I make the smith sorcerer craft the Vran Armor?

I've go all the components and the quest says find the smith who can craft the armor (Ban Ard or whatever his name is, nice guy btw!) But it doesn't appear on the crafting list. Do I need to do something more than the quest tells me? Thank you for your answer in advance!

so you completed the mystic river quest and got the armor diagram? if yes it should appear on him. it takes the mage armor and lots of gold though so be sure to have that as well.
just look closely (I think speak with him first?)
at this point you probably have hilarious amounts of crafting diagrams...
