You have to set the controls in the ingame settings to gamepad in order to use any gamepad.
You can change the sensibility in the user.ini file (my documents/witcher 2/config) like I did (I'm using 0.8):
The camera just spins uncontrollably.
Which is a real shame, because as far as I could tell, every other button did exactly what it was supposed to.
I could re-align the camera by pressing down on the right analog stick, but when i let go, the camera just started rotating at a nausiating pace.
