Game length? Free roam?
Is this the kind of game where you can kind of meander along in free roam and take in the beautiful sights, or are you rushed though, quest-by-quest? About how long does it take to complete the entire game?

I know these are such generic questions. Hope they don't ♥♥♥♥ anybody off... Better than whining about a game, amirite? These are just important details for me when it comes to games like this.

Thanks, gamers.

well you can wander around but the areas will feel a bit small if you are looking for an open world. nobody rushes you, in fact you may even take things slowly and find tactics for the more common enemies and make yourself familiar with the layout. there are also some really beautiful views, especially in act 2, where everything becomes a lot brighter and the maximum altitude increases. quests will bring you to most locations, but not all, there are things to discover apart from that. there are also side tracks you don't actually have to follow but loot and side quests are always nice, right?
the one thing that you should keep in mind though that the world changes, that means things will not be accessible in the beginning or not anymore after some story events (I won't spoil anything here) or charcters simply go away or die if you choose to do act accordingly.

about the length... that is one hell of a difficult question.
took me about 14 hours for my insane playthrough and skipping everything unnecessary and with knowing everything and min-maxing, so anything below this will probably be impossible.
if you want to watch the scenes and exhaust dialogue options you will need about 35 hours if you do all side quests or longer depending on how much time you need to grasp the combat, idle around, find stuff, being slower.
so 2x40 hours is more appropriate (you need 2 playthroughs to get both sides of the story, basically from the end of chapter 1 you play a game with a different storyline, even though main events stay the same, either on the human or non-human side)
