Stuck in the Elven Bath House.

In The Rose of Remembrance, Geralt and Triss fall into a bath house. If the player neglects to "bathe" with Triss, they must break down a wall in the corner using Aard.

The problem is that if the player had already come across the wall earlier, they could break it from the other side. This, however, means that you can't break down the already-broken wall when the main story dictates you escape from the bath house, and breaking it is a prerequisite to climbing it, ergo, I can't climb into a blatantly obvious exit.

The unique thing about this is that (if you haven't already broken the wall from the other side like I did) there is a X button/left mouse click prompt for Aard when you're standing in the right location. These are not the usual sign buttons.

I have browsed the internet and have come across several proposed remedies to this situation. The wiki told me that if I was stuck, I could save and reset. I was given no details beyond that, and it didn't work. Someone else said that they were able to move to the wall and get the prompt before Triss began talking to them. I have tried this, but Triss always talks to me as soon as I fall in. Someone else said they meditated and it worked somehow. Not for me, it didn't. Lastly, someone said that you simply had to stand in the right place and Aard the space where the wall would be in order for the climb prompt to work. They didn't make it clear whether or not you cast Aard from the prompt or normally. For the former case, I couldn't find the prompt nor get it to work. For the latter case, I casted Aard at the space dozens of times, and I still can't climb the damn wall.

I can't remember when exactly I broke the wall before, but it was a long time ago. I'm not willing to lose those hours, and I couldn't find any hacks that would let me bypass this.

If I bathe with Triss, Roche comes in calling for Geralt with a voice muffled by an invisible wall, then he climbs down and talks to me. I can then get out afterwards but this isn't the story branch I want to go to, and I don't want to be locked into it because of a failure on the developer's part that they have yet to fix.

Please tell me if there's something I can do here.

You either have to do this, or load a save from before you broke the wall.

I found this thread, maybe you've seen it, that has a video. The video is still up and at the end of the thread there is someone talking about your same problem. They say the icon doesn't appear, but stand or slightly nudge where the icon appears for Aard in the video and it worked for them to "rebreak" the wall that isn't there. Hope it helps.
