Partial Controller Support?

my set up is unfortunately not friendly towards a K&M, so I frequently hook up my PS4 controller to play. I even have a program I can run (DS4) so games will recognize it as a Xbox controller if they don't support playstation. Would that work for this game as well? Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give

Were you able to play using the PS4 controller (DS4) without using programs?

Yes, but I had to use a configuration I found on Big Picture Mode. and even though it was the best I'd found so far, it still wasn't that good. It's not playable with a controller unfortunately

Try it wired, disabling bluetooth and don't use any other software than steam (ds4 software is obsolete). I got it working like that.

That's what I did, unfortunately the controls weren't intuitive and I frequently had to keep referring back to the layout instructions that came with the configurations. At some later date, I'll probably return and make a new configuration, modeled after the controls for Witcher 3 on console
