Faster way to delete old save games?

I noticed that I have a crap ton of old save games, but it's tedious to delete them by hand. I spend over half an hour and still had a ton left over. Is there a faster way to delete old saves?

Just delete them from your hard drive.

The in-game deletes are better, but as you found out, a bit time consuming.

A bit? I just recently finished The Witcher 2 again to have a save file I actually remember for my current TW3 play through. I had save files back from 2014! Hundreds of files! There's no way you could ever delete those via in game without losing days of your life!

Hey, hopefully I'm not too late but luckily, it can be deleted from your save folder. It's what I did several times on my latest playthrough because even then the loading screens and menu will slow down drastically.

This is the path: D:\Rein\Steam\userdata\374993303\20920\remote

(It's possible the numbers may differ slightly but 20920 should remain the same, you can double check if you're deleting the correct saves by opening the .img files at the save folder)

I've cloud enabled in the settings and even with the game launched at the same time, you'd only need to go to some sub-category of the menu and back and the saves will sync up.


Edit: Before I learnt this, I spent a bit over an hour of constant deleting save files of my previous playthrough and I've noticed that the whole process was starting to get progressively faster but there's nothing quicker than just selecting, say, 80 or more files from the directory and removing it there.
