After watching it, let me know what questions you have and I'll try to give more detail.
thanks for the video (though I hadn't watched it yet) but idk if this will work for THE WITCHER 2, because that's the game I'm playing right now.
Witcher 2 is a little different - go to the description tab on the mod you're downloading (I assume you're downloading from nexus mods) and the author will usually have instructions on what files to put where. :)
well I have a few mods that I have my eye on at the moment, and they are as follows: Dice board mod, Sharingan Eyes for Geralt, and the Unlimited weight mod. Unfortunately the Authors of said mods don't have a description as to how to properly install them ( or every lack luster instructions). So do you by chance know of a way to install mods for the WITCHER 2?
https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher2/mods/97
So here's the install instructions the author has under the description tab for that mod:
INSTALLATION:
Place unzipped "environment_levels" folder into Cookedpc in your main Witcher 2 directory.
NOTE:
- if you want only the board remove "decorations" folder and vice-versa.
So what you do is go into your Witcher 2 install directory, look for the "cookedpc" folder (I'm pretty sure on Witcher 2 it is already there and you don't have to create a new folder like you do in W3 when doing it initially), and then unzip the "environment_levels" folder into the "cookedpc" folder and that's it. It may ask you if you're sure you want to merge and you say 'yes'.
Modding in W2 is a little more clunky and confusing than it is in W3. W3 it's a piece of cake. :)

Vids for W2 mods install aren't very good though like you said.
