XBox 360 Controller - missing controls

Hi All,

I've been following all the setup guides and everything but I still have issues with my Xbox 360 controller with Witcher 2.

Plug and Play works but the problem is

a. I don't have access to the Menu! To save the game / switch control between Controller and KBM I have manually turn off my controller take out the receiver etc. I also can't exit the game properly. I have to use Task Manager and quit the game
b. Playing Poker - on the controller, I can't effing choose the dice to reroll. The controls don't work


Any help? Or guide? Or maybe some configurations that you know work?

Or maybe I'm just a total idiot and I don't know how to configure things properly. Can anyone toss me a bone?

Hi.
I am using an Xbox 360 wireless controller with no problem at the moment in W2. To get to the menus, are you pressing the START button? This takes you to inventory, journal, character, map, save, load and exit. The Quick Menu is your LT button. This takes you to the opition where you can change your Signs, Mediate, drink Potions and perform Alchemy.

For Dice I had to watch a video. Use your Left stick to Naviagate the dice and use Y on the Dice you want to Re Roll. Move the dice to Re Roll as far to the right as possible with staying on the board area. Lightly tap your Right stick to roll. Otherwise the dice can go flying off the board. Though watching a YouTube video will most likely be easier to understand than my instructions.

I hope some of this helps. W2 is an awesome game. I'm onto chapter 2 right now. And you are not an idiot. I felt like one too trying to figure out the controls of this game.

So some updates thanks to your comment

A. Totally figured out poker now. Yay! (The X button chooses what dice to reroll UH DUH mee!)
B. Quick Menu does work for me since Day 1
C. The Start button doesn't for some reason. (Sigh.)

Weird. I tried X button for reroll and it didn't work. Pressed other buttons and Y does. Maybe the functions don't always work the way they should? Did you try a different controller (if you can) to see if it's start button works?
I did try playing this game with KB+M but had issues fighting for some reason. W1 was great for me with KB+M. Also easier to figure out.

Well I am nearing the end of chapter 2 and for some reason the Start button on my Xbox controller no longer works! I switched to keyboard and the ESC button wouldn't work. Off to hunt for solutions. sigh.

I fixed it. Instead of Launching the game I went into Options. Input Settings and pressed Reset for both keyboard and controller. Both had the right stuff inputted. So not sure what was going on. Now I can use the Start button again on the controller.
