Far Too Short

It's a shame. The Prologue and Chapter 1 were epic. Then chapter 2 came along--also pretty meaty overall. And Chapter 3--it's like the money ran out and they had to finish the game. So many epic armors and weapons just flew at me that I couldn't use them all. My character development screen was bare. The game should have had 5 chapters, as the first game had 5 acts and was 30 hrs longer for me! It took 89 hrs for the first, 60 for the second (and I explore a lot). I'm sure you could run through this game in a few hours. An excellent game, don't get me wrong, and I haven't played through all the various decisions, but still Loc Muinne felt unfinished. Far too short.

Did you play both Roche and Iorveth routes?

The game is designed to be played (at least) twice to experience the story of both sides.

Actually, I'm pretty sure you're right that they were basically on a time crunch and had to cut some stuff from the game to get it ready to release. I still loved it, but yeah, the end does feel like it was a little rushed.

I almost want an expanded new release with 5 acts just so I can love the game like I had been up till Loc Muinne. So unfortunate. The game should feel like a full game no matter what route you take.

you have good intuition - they ran out of money. Game was almost canceled....

I agree Loc Muinne is a bit rushed. But you really should do two playthroughs, which greatly increases time/$$$ value.

I will. I didn't know the game was almost canceled. It's still a great game.
