This didn't have any effect either. I actually ended up setting up dual booting Ubuntu on a second hard drive, and after installing the AMD drivers (and upping the Texture Memory Budget to 2048 in the User.ini) I'm getting 100+ FPS on high settings.
I opened a support ticket on GOG for the issues on Windows, but they just keep telling me to try things I already said I tried when I opened the ticket.
I play on the recent ROG Strix Notebook, Asus GL553VD with specs:
Core i7-7700HQ
NVidia Geforce GTX 1050 4GB GDDR5
8GB RAM
Running on Windows 10 Home 64-bit, res. 1280x720
I've searched about the stutter fix like from this:
https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/The_Witcher_2:_Assassins_of_Kings#Continued_Stuttering_During_Gameplay
or this:
https://www.reddit.com/r/witcher/comments/13path/witcher_2_stuttering_fix/
which overall making me to set the framerate limit (or something) to 1 or 2, and limiting the FPS to 60Hz. But in practice it didn't turn out giving me any siginificant difference.
So for anyone in the know, may I ask how to optimize this game for my specs?
