Controller mapping

So I know what everyone is going to tell me already. "Play with a mouse and keyboard it's so much better!" Yeah not for me. Anyway, does anyone have a good map for Xbox one/360 controllers? I just dont have the patience to figure out how to get the right settings and buttons.

bro.. the kb/m, controller mouse is personal prefference. tbh i'd say more people use controllers for DS2 than kb/m. the game was oringinally intended for consoles. pc support was added before release, or as i've read and been told quite a few times on our forums. for me i prefer controller for DS2.

anyway, it's already set up for xbox 360 controller. i tried for 2 hours to remap keys for kb/m. gave up, went and bought a wired xbox 360 controller and the game has been sweet ever since. all the menu and inventory, character sheet, equipping, using items and combat are already assigned to A, X, Y, B, LT, RT, L2, R2 and start as well as movement, L joystick, R joystick and D-pad. plug it in and it's all good to go.

the only thing i did was flip one of the axis' in the controller settings window, or w/e that menu option is called. your all good mate. no worries

oops.. i thought i was on the DS2 forum then.. still, my witcher 2 is set for xbox 360. i started on kb/m but after putting in like 800 hours using a controller on DS2, i was kind've used to it and switched to xbox controller for witcher 2.. first time i played i think it was default PS4 or 3, buttons but next time i loaded up, it had designated all the keys to xbox 360.

huh crazy, I also have a wired controller and it hasnt lined itself up for me yet. I'll try playing with the settings and whatnot. thanks homes

yeah bro.. now you've got the xbox controller hooked up, maybe try switching back to keyboard in options for a min or two, then switch it back to gamepad. with me anyway, like i said above when i first switched to gamepad it thought i had a PS controller. next time i loaded up, all buttons, everything had adapted to xbox 360. hang in there mate!

that sucks bro.. did you get a driver's / codec's disc with your controller? maybe try installing that? i know most everything is supposed to be plug and play but i read the quick install on my wired xbox 360 controller and it was pretty adamant that i install the driver's disc before i plugged it in to usb. also, i'm sure you've done all this but try different usb ports and reboot your computer and game with your controller plugged into a new port and such. sometimes 'puters can be a little quirky imo :)

my xbox 1 gamepad works with the game but when i go into the options to map the gamepad buttons more to my liking it lets me do it all but then the ok button remains greyed out and it wont let me accept the changes , what going on ?
