Fix For Terrible Looking SSAO?
I see in the settings there's only "enabled" or "disabled" for SSAO.
Obviously, when done right (simulation of core shadows only), SSAO makes a game look really good. Unfortunately, like most games, The Witcher 2 over uses SSAO and there's an ever-present black blobish halo around Geralt's body. This effect is often due to over-sampling the SSAO radius, meaning it treats surfaces that are 10-15 feet behind Geralt as if his body was making direct contact (or extremely close proximity) with the surfaces, causing that terrible looking effect.

Is there a game file that I could be directed to where I can manually adjust the SSAO values, or is this a case where I may have to resort to a custom ENB (if any) to fix this without outright disabling SSAO?

Edit:
A reference image to try to illustrate the issue. It's much more noticeable when I'm running it (90fps):

Notice the blobby fake shadows on the floor behind Geralt's hands and legs.
Those shadows are not being cast by any light source as they travel with the camera.
There are also tiny gaps between the SSAO and Gerlat's leg and hand geometry, which I at first thought may be rim-lighting, but it isn't; it's an issue that happens when SSAO is done poorly.
Notice these issues aren't on my character on the left. The image on the left has SSAO, but it's done correctly to the point you aren't even sure it's there (if I disabled it, you'd suddenly notice).

I cannot find the post, but I am sure this has been brought up before, but the way the game does shadows is kind of fixed, there is no variable as such, it is just on or off. Not even sure there are mods to fix it, or at least there was not at the time I recall seeing the thread. As quite a few people seemed upset about the SSAO.

You could check on nexus mods, I have not really looked over their witcher 2 mods, just the bethesda ones (fallout/skyrim etc) so maybe there is now one.
