Trading with merchants not fair?
I bought the witcher 2 on sale and I'm loving it so far 20 hours in after a couple of days. I'm just wondering if the prices will get more balanced the more you advance or if there's any way to make them cheaper because right now I'm selling an okayish armor for 60 orens but when I look at it after I sold it, it costs 700+ to buy back lol. And it's the same thing for everything, you pretty much sell stuff for nothing and buy the same things for so much more.

I played it quite while ago so might be wrong but from I recall selling herbs and ingredients was quite a good deal.

BTW. Which path have you chosen? Roche or Iorweth?

As far as I know the buy/sell ratio is fixed for everything. The in game economy isn't very friendly but it's not a big deal since you won't really need a lot of orens anyways. If you look in the right places, you can find some pretty nice swords and armor for free. During my two runs of Witcher 2 I only purchased runes and a few alchemy formulas.

Harpy hunting is a good way to make some extra orens though. They're fairly easy to kill and the feathers they drop can be sold for a nice sum. Even though you may not get the best selling prices for loot, it all adds up and you can easily end up with more money than you can spend, so don't be discouraged. There is also a mod that gives you significantly more money from selling if you're interested.

I'm exactly to the point where I have to chose. I'm thinking Iorweth but I'm still not sure, it's a really tough decision..
